Some of my favorite highlights in 2012 are when Mr M read Way of the Wolf by Bear Grills and the Mentos + coca cola experiment which  looked  like a coca cola fountain. The best thing that I have done this year  is all the amazing art work like make our own cows and collage. I will miss Mr M.

Assembly

On Friday room 15 had an Assembly called same

same but different. My favorite thing is when Bailey showed her Prezi and all the children in rooms 1-6 went whoool at every photo and when Mr Freak won the game show and when Bailey jumped out of the cardboard factory in the skit cow to glass!!!!!!! I did a greeting in Samoan and held up my 100 children poster.

How to make a portraitt art.

1. You find 5 strips of different people faces.

2.put them together see if they go together.

3.glue them on a a4 peace of paper.

Adding detail

We were learning to add detail to a sentence. The first sentence was The dog barked. This is how I added detail to The dog barked .
The black wolf and his family the gray wolfs they
barked at my flying black and white cat named C.C. As she landed on the giant gray new gate for the Alaska animals reserve.

1/3 of 12 = 3
So how much 3's make 12. 3,6,9,12 so it =4 so doddle 4=8.
So 2/3 of 12 =8.

I lean to use my 2x to work out my 4x like
2x3 =6 so 4x3=12
2x4=8 so 4x4=16

Discovery Speech

My speech topic was on the Voyager space probes.

I chose this topic because my Dad knows a lot about space.

Before my speech I felt scared. After my speech I felt angry because it was only 1 min and 30 seconds.

Next time I would make it longer than 1 min and 30 seconds by adding more detail.

1.Plan you stop motion
2.Put the camera on the tripod
3.Take a picture
4.Move the things that need to be moved on your plan
5.Keep taking pictures and moving the things that need to be moved on your plan
6.When you are finished taking pictures and moving the things that are on your plan put them on the computer on videoSpin
7.If you would like to put sound effects and music on your stop motion do it on video spin
8.Then you can go and link it on face book or youtube
9.Then you produce it

This is a very fun thing to do and you can make them bigger and bigger !

Global School Project Email

We emailed other schools in other countries to see what they are like. I learnt that some people do not respond to Email if they do not know you and if they know you they will Email back . I would like to learn how to make the words bigger to read an Email properly

Introducing me

Hi my name is Alexandra. I am a year 5.
I used to live in London but we moved to Hamilton because my Mum and Dad says that it is a bad place. My favourite thing in London is staying up late to watch the bats over our flat. Somethings I love are Ciaman, wolves, fishing cats and food.

This is a collage portrait of me. To make this I had to get photographs and stick them on the background of a white and black photo and cut some bits of wall paper and stick them on the
t-Shirt. Then I got a colour photo, cut it into 3 strips and stuck them on.
